The ICT Learning Process
Through the whole 2nd Semester of being in Senior High School, I learned and understood the concepts related to ICT and its uses and applications to every aspect of the world industry e.g. economics, fashion, law, etc. ICT is everywhere for as long as technology exists. ICT provides a lot of opportunities for people to express and share, and to inform people about something, and a lot more.
One of the many things where ICT was used is during my whole Senior High School year. ICT was integrated with all subjects ranging from the on-line interactive classes, research works, to the use of laptop every day during class hours. Using ICT in SHS, learning has become more extensive as the students are trained in preparation for college through browsing the net for research purposes, having on-line classes every Wednesday, understanding the uses and limitations of the internet or the web, and more that trained us to the proper use of technology including the internet.
I responded to these by learning and understanding ICT for further knowledge so that I can use it in the future. Challenges brought about by ICT were encountered such as plagiarism, not being too technically savvy, and the way on how the laptop is used every class hours which includes the on-line classes at home. I responded to these by learning and understanding as well because through learning, we'll be able to understand the consequences of plagiarism, and our responsibilities on using the laptop.
ICT truly is useful in almost everything during the Senior High School year, as well as on our everyday lives. My experiences with the use of and understanding ICT can help me prepare for what lies ahead after this SHS year by being more open to learning from everything in the world e.g. industry trends, life lessons, issues of the country and the world, etc. through proper use of technology and the internet, by being careful and responsible in the use of technology and the internet for research purposes, as well as social networking sites, and by being able to use the learning about ICT in starting and making a change (either big or small) in myself, my family, the community, and the world.
